Alvin Bahar hopes to dominate the competition even though ISSOM Series 4 applies strict procedures

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTAAlvin Bahar He is getting more and more enthusiastic about mastering the National Championship class, knowing that he is the leader of the temporary standings for the Master class ITCR Max 2021 Indonesian Sentul Series Of Motorsport (ISSOM).

Winning the first two series of ISSOM to runner-up in the third round made Alvin’s position remain unassailable from the top of the standings with a difference of 5 points.

Ahead of round 4 of ISSOM, at Sentul International Circuit, Bogor, West Java, Saturday-Sunday (16-17/10/2021) the Honda Racing team has made thorough preparations by repairing the engine on Alvin’s car.

The goal, of course, is so that the 8-time national champion can return to his initial performance, racing at the forefront during qualifying to win the race. That way, he will still be able to secure his position at the top of the ISSOM standings.

Throughout this week, Alvin has undergone two official training since the beginning of the week. The exercise was carried out with his son Avila Bahar who is also a fellow Honda Racing Indonesia racer.

In the last 3 rounds, Avila overall finished fifth and won the Rising class (National Seeded B). Therefore, just like Alvin, Avila will also struggle extra to achieve the best position. Even the new Honda Racing racer, Canya Prasetyo, is determined to improve his time in this 4th round.

Alvin himself as a senior racer at Honda Racing Indonesia stated that he was in a combat-ready position and hoped that he and the two drivers Avila and Canya could achieve the best results as expected by the team.

“The gap between round 3 is only 3 weeks, so I really have to be ready to be more optimal to face this round 4. The car engine has been repaired, so of course there is better capital to be able to reap the best results, the most important thing is to be able to maintain the top position of the standings, “Alvin told the media, after training on Wednesday (13/10/2021) afternoon at Sentul International Circuit.

Lola Moenek as Marketing Director of Sentul Circuit hopes that the 4th round will still be lively even without spectators.

“Round 4 will remain the same as the previous one. We continue to advance the process. This is for the safety of the drivers, and all those present at the circuit later,” said Lola, who is also the PP IMI administrator.
