The Spanish actor Alvaro Deathknown internationally for the series The Money Heistwill debut alongside Lily Collins (Emily in Paris) in it West End Londoner with a staging of the play Barcelona of Bess Wohldirected by Lynette Linton.
The play will be performed at the Duke of York Theater for twelve weeks, between October 21 and January 11, according to the details on the theatre’s website.
Set in the Catalan capital, the work is described as a thriller about a game of seduction between two characters, an American tourist and a “handsome Spaniard.”
What begins as a chance encounter evolves into a more complex and dangerous situation where personal and political elements intertwine.
Bess Whol is an American playwright and filmmaker whose credits include the play Grand Horizonsnominated for the Tony Awards in 2021, the film Baby Ruby (2022), starring Noemi Merlant y Kit Harrington one to the series Extrapolations of Apple TV.
Linton has been acclaimed for her production of Blues for an Alabama Sky at the National Theatre and is the artistic director of the Bush Theatre London.
