In Heerdenstrand the Dutchman from Fenix (with Casasola in the pits and expected on Sunday in Overijse in the Superprestige) and the Belgian, who after the disqualification, leaves everyone behind, celebrate.
Saturday 26 October, 4pm
The new season of Exact Cross stopped today in the Heerdenstrand arena, with a more than decent participation for both races and the successes of the two most anticipated protagonists.
The women’s race saw Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado continue her great journey of a practically perfect start in the mud of the 2024/25 cyclocross for the Dutchman of Cuban origins, who gives Fenix-Deceuninck the third hurrah by dominating today’s challenge, with a fifteen seconds of margin over compatriot Inge van der Heijden and with the Belgian Laura Verdonschot completing the podium of the day.
Sara Casasola remained rested and for the Friulian from Crelan-Corendon, in great form, the big event is set for Sunday with the very classic Telenet Superprestige in Overijse.
The men’s challenge in Heerdenstrand rewarded the returning Eli Iserbyt: after the disqualification he received for the misdeed that occurred when he “trampled” on Ryan Kamp’s bike, the Belgian champion from Pauwels Sauzen won quite clearly, leaving shortly after half race to regulate Pim Ronhaar (Baloise-Trek) and Laurens Sweeck, third ahead of Niels Vandeputte, fresh from two podiums last weekend and this time forced to settle for fourth place.
