A 17-year-old boy who jumped into the river to save her died. The girl jumped from the Marthanda Varma bridge into the river and escaped with injuries. Gautam, a native of Taikkatukara, jumped into the river to save Akhila, a native of Alappuzha. Gautham’s body was shifted to the hospital morgue. The girl was admitted to the hospital.
