The project constitutes an investment of 120 thousand euros and in this context Altice Labs also joins the Center for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra for scientific, technological and innovation collaboration actions, namely in Big Data & Analytics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Systems.
Within the scope of the two-day tour, Altice Portugal also keeps on the agenda a series of initiatives related to social responsibility, responding to the current circumstances imposed by COVID-19. The program gives priority to projects to promote conditions for better healthcare provision.
Together with Huawei Portugal, Altice Portugal will make available to 7 Portuguese hospitals, from north to south, a set of videoconferencing systems and tablets. “The availability of this equipment aims to ensure the technology to enhance collaboration between several Portuguese health units, namely with regard to the study of clinical cases”, he says.
The reading booths will also be present in yet another municipality, this time Oliveira de Azeméis, which joins an already extensive list of more than 30 micro-libraries rehabilitated by the Altice Foundation. In these spaces the motto “Take, donate, read, return” is applied, transforming the old telephone booths at the service of the community.
