Alternative Parking Rules In New York City Suspended On Following Dates – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK – It seems that most days are a vacation this time of year and New Yorkers may have more questions than answers about alternative parking.

Therefore, we have developed a list of all New York holidays for the remainder of 2022 where alternative parking rules will be suspended.

Dates in bold are major public holidays, which means New York City public schools are also closed. See other holidays here.

New York City’s alternative parking rules are suspended on these dates in 2022:

  • Sukkot, Jewish holiday, Monday and Tuesday, 10 and 11 October
  • Shemini Atzeret, Jewish holiday, Monday 17 October
  • Simchas Torah, Jewish holiday, Tuesday 18th October
  • Diwali, Indian holiday, Monday 24th October
  • All Saints’ Day, Christian / Catholic holiday, Tuesday 1st November
  • Election day, Tuesday 8 November
  • Veterans Day, Friday 11th November
  • Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 24th
  • Immaculate Conception, Christian / Catholic holiday, Thursday 1 December
  • Christmas (observed), Christian / Catholic holiday, Monday 26 December
