Alternating sunny spells and showers in Martinique, the result of a diet

For several days, Martinique has been experiencing strong winds and short but intense showers while we are in the Lenten season, known as the dry season. Explanations by Jean-Noël Degrace from the Lamentin weather centre.

It’s not raining a lot but big disturbances have been hitting Martinique for about ten days. “We are in a wet trade wind regime“, explains Jean Noël Degrace of the Lamentin meteorology center.

The weather is variable with alternating sunny spells and showers. Showers that pass quickly without giving significant accumulations of rain.

“The very strong Azores anticyclone is sending us very strong winds and cloud masses which pass quickly across the Caribbean arc“, specifies Jean-Noël Degrace.

The report is uneven because if it rains a lot in the north, it is not always the case in the south.
