The Altensteiger Seniors’ Afternoon will take place on Tuesday, November 12th, from 2 p.m. in the Markgrafenhalle. All seniors from the entire city are invited to attend. Dieter Renz and Dominik Bitzer lead through the program.

This time too, many young Altensteiger put together a varied afternoon for the audience. A representative of the Sparkasse and Mayor Gerhard Feeß will welcome the guests. And on this occasion, the mayor will report on current and upcoming topics from the town hall – this is also a cherished tradition.

On stage, the seniors are entertained by the Calw District Senior Choir. The music school’s ballet under the direction of Anna Seeger will also offer a sample, and Martin Spreng will play the barrel organ and entertain the guests with a song quiz. The obligatory gymnastics session is also planned again.

Finally, a photo show by Karl Lang completes the afternoon. The topic is the Danube. Lang cycled to the Danube Delta on his bike and collected extensive footage with his camera. The “Danube” picture series ranges from river impressions and natural atmospheres to historically important places and charming views to the large cities on the river – including Ulm, Regensburg, Passau, Vienna, Budapest and Belgrade.

Cordiality surprises the cyclist

At the “Iron Gate” the Danube forces its way through a wonderful landscape. Visiting Wallachia, southern Romania, is like traveling back in time. Rural images with teams of cows are reminiscent of the early 1950s. What always amazed the lonely cyclist was the warmth that was shown to him.

The TSV handball players will provide the catering.
