Kuwait City: Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has stated that the new laboratories of Alsour Refinery will increase the performance and competitiveness of the country’s oil sector. The company’s announcement was made in a statement as part of the inauguration of the laboratories. KIPIC is the only organization in the Middle East with such a system run by national cadres. Waleed Al Badr, CEO, said that the opening of new laboratories is another milestone for the company.
It is part of the strategic plans of the oil sector, he added. Setting up the innovative lab will enhance the company’s operations in high-quality and environment-friendly oil, petrochemical products and natural gas projects. Deputy CEO Khalid Al Awadi said that the laboratory was one of the main objectives of Al Sur Refinery, one of the largest refineries in the world. He indicated that the labs will be involved in the process and equipment to refine the oil. He pointed out that the documents and certificates produced by the laboratories will be of high value.
