Birmingham –
Neslihan Yigit feel his throwing off All England 2021 unfair. Even so, Yigit hoped pandemic COVID-19 finish quickly and the tournament can run normally.
Yigit’s name became a byword in Indonesia when he was dragged along in the case of the contingent’s forced withdrawal Indonesia from All England. Indonesia was forced to withdraw because one of the passengers on one plane tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, the health authority in the UK, the National Health Service (NHS), asked the Indonesian team to self-isolate for 10 days. This means that all Indonesian players will miss the All England 2021 which will finish this weekend.
Well, coincidentally there is also a Turkish badminton player, Neslihan Yigit, who shares the same plane with Indonesia, but was not crossed out. Yigit even qualified for the second round after defeating the French representative, Marie Batomene, with a score of 13-21, 21-19 and 21-17.
The plan is that Yigit will face Akane Yamaguchi from Japan, Thursday (18/3/2021) morning local time. However, due to strong protests from the Indonesian contingent, Yigit was also disqualified and asked to undergo quarantine as well.
A few hours after being crossed out, Yigit revealed her heart on her Instagram account, @neslihanyigits. According to him, this withdrawal was unfair because there was a team that had contact with corona positive sufferers, but they were still able to play after being tested negative.

He hopes that this pandemic will end quickly so that everything can go back to normal.
“I want to tell you about my current situation. I have prepared myself for the Yonex All England tournament, which is one of the most prestigious badminton events and won in the first round. For reasons beyond my control, I was finally dropped from this tournament and also the next in the tournament. The Orleans Masters in France next week, “said Yigit.
“I think this is unfair. Because all players and tournament staff who have had contact with sufferers of COVID-19 over the past five days, can still play. Meanwhile, the Indonesian team and I are isolated in our rooms. I hope the pandemic will end quickly and we can all be free. appear then compete in a healthy manner. “
