Already the warmest November 2 ever recorded | Inland

The previous record from 2014 was 17.4 degrees. Monday’s heat record is already the eleventh date heat record of the year. A date heat record was last broken on October 21. The temperature has now risen to 18.2 and will rise further in the course of Monday, further tightening the heat record.

With that 18.2 degrees, it was also officially the warmest November night ever measured. The previous record for the nighttime hours was 17.3 degrees and was measured at exactly midnight on November 9, 2015.

It is also exceptionally mild for November in the rest of the country. It is therefore expected that date heat records will be broken in more places. In the southeast it can even become a warm day with more than 20 degrees. If it gets warmer than 19 degrees in De Bilt, it could even be officially the hottest November day ever.

The day itself is mild, but also cloudy and very windy. In addition, it can occasionally rain. After Monday the heat is over. The midday temperature will drop back to normal values of 10 to 12 degrees from Tuesday. The nights are also getting colder and later in the week there is a risk of night frost and fog.
