“The quality of life is decreasing, because the desire to save more makes us choose cheaper products, which, as a rule, are not as useful or break down quickly,” she said. At the same time, it is interesting that even what a person can pay is often “cut.” Perhaps the first victims of such savings are spending on hobbies and entertainment. All this makes life more isolated, lonely and unhappy.”

Stinginess, as a true manifestation of the economy, directly affects not only the person himself, but also his environment. By refusing to spend anything extra, the desire to control everything and put your own financial interests above the interests of others, destroys old ties and makes it difficult to create new ones, said Komarnitskaya.

“A negative attitude towards stinginess in society creates a bad reputation for a person and severely limits his opportunities not only for communication or career advancement, but also for starting a family,” explained the person – communication. – As a rule, such a person has no plan for the future: it is difficult for him to think about the situations where he has to part with his resources, and the goal he can sacrifice on what he got saved with such a problem. The lack of financial goals makes the future uncertain, which only leads to more anxiety and dissatisfaction with life.”

In general, the expert emphasized, healthy and unhealthy savings based on different types of thinking. In the first case, the main thing is the desire not only to increase resources, but also the most efficient use, and in the second, the deciding factor is the fear of scarcity.

“To eliminate the desire for excessive savings, you need to change your attitude,” advised Komarnitskaya. – Without this, it is unlikely that you will be able to build a healthy relationship with finances. It has nothing to do with ‘refuse to spend and fear them to plan and account for them, just as the fear of losing what you have accumulated has little to do with a balanced view of risks and the desire to increase capital. In order not to go to the limits of excessive frugality and to avoid all negative consequences, it is worth remembering a simple but important idea: money is not a goal, but a tool.
