Color accents
So-called color editions now shape the picture at Alpine. This special model series with exclusive paintwork, which in future will be replaced every year by a successor model with a new look, as in the world of fashion, form the current heart of the sports car brand. The basis for the Color Edition is the A110S with 292 PS, 260 km / h top speed and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds. “Sunflower Yellow” was a paint color popular with Alpine drivers in the 1960s and 1970s. The “Sunflower Yellow” contrasts with the black Alpine lettering, brand logos, 18 mm aluminum and headlight
inserts as well as the brake calipers in anthracite. Yellow elements can also be found in the interior, for example on the center marking on the steering wheel.
Legendary brand
The French sports car brand was founded in 1955 by former racing driver Jean Rédélé in his hometown of Dieppe. 1973 Renault took over the majority of the shares in Alpine. Alpine vehicles achieved international fame in motorsport. The best-known vehicle from the Alpine brand is the Alpine A110 Berlinette, which has become a legend in rallying with European and two world championship titles. The Alpine A310 with a V6 engine also achieved fame. Jean-Pierre Jaussaud and Didier Pironi won the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1978 with an Alpine A442. “I decided on the name Alpine because, in my opinion, this name represents driving pleasure on Alpine roads,” said brand founder Jean Rédélé. The two-seater with a mid-engine is available in three versions: A110 Pure, A110 Légende and A110S.
Competitive athlete
The propulsion, which is impressive in every situation, is kept on course by a slightly lowered sports suspension with double wishbones at the front and rear. Stiffer springs and anti-roll bars ensure greater steering precision, and appropriately tuned dampers complete the chassis upgrade. Stable Brembo high-performance brakes with a diameter of 320 millimeters ensure the necessary deceleration.
