Alpina, which has been part of the BMW Group since March, traditionally reveals its powerful version for gentlemen in close succession to the facelift of the original model from Munich. This time it is the largest SUV on offer.
–
Like the recently revamped BMW X7, the innovated XB7 has split headlights, different bumpers and differently shaped taillights. However, the small-scale carmaker has so far published a single photograph.
–
Identical changes in the interior can be sensed, where Alpina will also offer a new infotainment with a curved screen and a different dashboard, including air conditioning vents. Alpina is traditionally distinguished from BMW by materials and probably by modified device graphics.
–
Before the facelift, the XB7 was powered by a top eight-cylinder engine. The 4.4-liter unit with two turbochargers, as in the X7 M60i, received a 48V mildhybrid system, whose electric motor gives 12 to 200 Nm.
–
However, top performance did not change intergenerationally for both BMW and Alpina. The engine from Alpina thus gives 457 kW, 621 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Compared to the X7 M60i by 91 hp and 50 Nm more.
–
The maximum speed of the largest alpine is 290 km / h, accelerating from zero to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds.
–
Alpina traditionally focuses on tuning the course of torque or more powerful cooling of the engine and other mechanical components.
–
Last but not least, it also takes care of changes to the chassis. Even after the facelift, the XB7 offers specific air suspension settings, active stabilizers, rear wheel pivots, stiffer rear axle silencers, Brembo brakes and additional body reinforcements.
–
The first cars will arrive on the European market in December this year.
