“Contact” is a style of karate that allows the safe practice (helmet, gloves, shin guards and foot guards) of the different foot and fist techniques of traditional karate. It is practiced on the mat and the KO is authorized even if it is not an end.
In “semi-contact”, the fighter must beat the opponent for the number and accuracy of the targets hit, for the variety of techniques and sequences used and in particular for the balanced use of feet and punches.
Spectacular
The interest of this competition lies in the fact that the fighters are not “formatted” into a single fighting style. The specificities of each style have given rise to spectacular fighting sequences with sequences of feet and punches followed by projections in perfect timing.
