Recently announced that Alone in the Dark is coming in October 2023, the game hopes to join the ever-growing list of survival horror success stories when it launches later this year.
But with just a few months left until its launch, there’s a lot we don’t know yet. For example, what graphic modes will the upcoming game from Pieces Interactive and THQ Nordic support?
In a recent interview, Andreas Schmidker, associate producer for THQ Nordic, was asked about the game’s FPS and target resolution. He said the game will already feature a 60 FPS mode as well as a 4K/30 FPS option.
Schmidker told GamingBolt:
“We are currently targeting a performance mode at 60fps in variable resolution and a quality mode at 30fps in 4K.”
It remains to be seen what Performance Mode’s native resolution will be, and there’s no word yet on what to expect from the Xbox Series S version of the game either, though console owners will certainly be happy to know that a Performance Mode option will also be available.
During the interview, Schmeidecker also revealed that both Alone in the Dark heroes will play a 6-10 hour campaign, and told us that THQ Nordic is “committed to the title for the long term” and would be open to more sequels if the sequel this year is well received.
Alone in the Dark launches on October 25th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
