Alone in the Dark is delayed to avoid Christmas stress

Dark news again for horror fans: Alone in the Dark– the new start is delayed – again.

Instead of premiering in January, the aim is to release the horror film on March 20, writes publisher THQ Nordic. The justification is fine: you want to avoid the staff from stress and overtime during the Christmas holiday. As a bonus, they get more time to polish the game to the desired condition.

The well-being of the teams is a top priority, and both companies want to avoid any potential crunch over the Christmas holidays. Furthermore, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive want to ensure that the game not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the community, especially with the outstanding performances of Hollywood stars David and Jodie as the main protagonists.

The last delay was announced in September, when the game was moved from October to January. Then the reason was that they wanted to avoid wrestling with big titles that were released at the time (e.g. Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Super Mario Bros Wonder). Also that understandable. Now let’s hope they don’t find new threats to their game in the late winter.
