“Alois makes a comeback to the Top50”

Shortly before the publication of the new Michelin Guide, the restaurant rankings for Germany continue to be led by a trio: these include the Aqua in Wolfsburg and the Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn and that Victor’s Fine Dining by Christian Bau in Perl-Nennig. The latest calculation of the ranking takes into account updates of the restaurant guides, primarily the Gusto. As a result, little is happening in the top 100. But at least the Alois returns to the top 50 with the new head chef Max Natmessnig. The restaurant, although not yet re-rated by all guides after reopening, now ranks 47th. Last month it was 317th.

The JUWEL in Kirschau has also made major leaps forward, after 126th place it now ranks 103rd, and the Alte Liebe in Augsburg has improved by 70 places to rank 130th.

Details on ranking points can be found here.

A total of 4,975 restaurants are currently listed in the ranking, which is 22 more than a month ago. Compared to March, 27 restaurants receive a higher score. four get less points. The inclusion in the ranking list is automatic and free of charge as soon as a restaurant is rated in one of the popular restaurant guides and achieves at least 15 ranking list points.
