The Minister of Defense called it a fantastic number and thanked everyone who came to test and who took samples. “Huge thanks go to those who did their job decently, friendly, kindly and professionally from early morning to late night, as well as to all those who were tested decently, friendly and kindly,” said Naď. The Minister of Defense admitted that the sampling points had run out of tests, certificates or gloves, but everything was replaced within a few minutes.

Prime Minister Igor Matovic said that the result from Saturday proves that the Slovak Republic functions as a community of responsible people. “In a difficult situation, we did not escape from the battlefield, we did not leave the sinking ship, but we all did everything in our power to save it. I’m literally moved, I’m proud of everyone who added their hand to the work. I admit that the number took my breath away, “said Matovič.

On Sunday, there is less interest in testing so far, and most sampling points have been tested without waiting. Across the country, 4,782 collection points opened on Sunday. “More than 40,000 people continue to be deployed, including 6,319 soldiers and 14,500 paramedics,” said the defense minister. He urged those interested in testing not to keep it for the evening. On Saturday, several hours were expected in some places.
