This year, Apple is breaking with a tradition: no new iPhones will appear in September. Fortunately, the unveiling of Apple’s new top devices is probably not long in coming. In a tweet, a renowned Apple leaker revealed the date of the iPhone 12 event.
Datum iPhone 12 event
The tweet has just been made shared by Apple leaker Jon Prosser, who has good resources when it comes to release dates of new Apple products. For example, he previously had the exact launch date of the new one iPhone SE good.
Now his sources have more information on the next Apple event, where Apple will present the four iPhone 12 models:
- IPhone 12 event date: Tuesday, October 13.
- Pre-order: Friday, October 16 (not Pro models).
- In stores: Friday, October 23.
Also a tipster of AppleInsider reports that Apple is organizing the event on October 13, after which the new iPhones can be ordered on Friday October 16. So it looks like we can expect the Apple event 2020 in three weeks.
Pro models in November
It is almost certain that Apple will present four new iPhones during the iPhone event in October. Two subsequent iPhone 11 on: the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12. In addition, the company unveils two more advanced devices: the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
Due to an accumulated delay, the Pro models can probably only be ordered at a later time. In a response to one of his followers, Prosser writes that the four iPhones will be announced simultaneously, but that they can only be ordered in November and will be in stores.

All four iPhone 12 models are expected to support 5G. It is still the ask whether the Dutch version has the mmWave version, the fastest form of 5G.
