Sadovoy was asked about the overall situation with electricity in Lviv.
“On average, half the day with light, half the day people without light. The priority of production, medical institutions, all these institutions that ensure the functioning of our city.
Of course, a generation system has been built, each of our institutions has a double reserve and diesel generation, and an alternative has been built that each of our institutions has solid fuel boilers if necessary, if the centralized heat supply system is disabled,” he replied.
According to Sadovoy, there is a lot of destruction within the city and the region – as a rule, these are critical infrastructure facilities.
“Each of these objects has its own owner, these are state institutions. Some of these objects are still functioning. Most, unfortunately, cannot be restored, so everything needs to be rebuilt.
For you to understand, almost all electrical substations within Lviv and the region have been destroyed. Therefore, the power supply is a big problem, but our electricians find non-standard smart solutions, so the industry and these institutions, which should provide the city, work. Yes, residents suffer, but everyone clearly knows what and when there are shutdown schedules,” the mayor of Lviv stressed.
