The police have finally caught an aggressive attacker who encouraged indiscriminate behavior on the roads by physically assaulting them. He was filmed several times by on-board cameras.
Weeks have passed since the first report of an aggressive driver assaulting other road users. Months of repeated warnings are over as sheriffs triumphantly announced the capture of a repeat offender who violently threatened other motorists and their vehicles. After the arrest and transfer to custody, not only southern California took a breather.
The entire United States was on alert as journalists were rightfully calling attention to the explosive nature of a man named Nathaniel Walter Radimak. The muscular attacker (36 years old) has been terrorizing the roads for almost a year, with the first cases attributed to him in March 2022. The rampage began last year with punctured tires before the man-made punctures spread to a full-fledged threat to human health.
The viral footage has always been dominated by the shorthand actions of one person in the same vehicle. Radimak was driving a blue Tesla Model X. The presence of a dark electric car caused concern, because the mentally unstable aggressor had no problem provoking a conflict and subsequently demanding his own truth using an object close to a metal rod.
There are videos circulating on the Internet of similar-looking figures banging on car windows, doors and mirrors accompanied by gestures calling for a fist fight right on the road. Failing to participate in the boxing match, the rioter got back into the Tesla and drove off to harass other victims. A recurring scenario in similar settings led the police to the trail of the suspect who was later arrested.
Radimak can retrospectively evaluate his performance with a view of the bars, after being placed in a pre-trial detention cell, he was granted bail exceeding five million dollars (CZK 111,000,000). The police surprised the wanted man in one of the car washes in the city of Torrance. The capture was arranged by the kiosk operator, who knew the attacker from the media.
Paradoxically, almost a year of rampage ended the sharing of videos on the Internet, Radimak went almost alone, and even a scarf pulled over his face during violent incidents did not help. If the acts committed are confirmed, the court may adequately respond to the assault with a deadly weapon and two warrants for his arrest. State officials are waiting for the registration of other witnesses or direct actors of the clashes, any punishment will be qualified according to the amount of usable evidence.
