Almost 400 thousand residents of EU countries have visited Belarus without visas since the beginning of the year | Society

Since the beginning of the visa-free regime, just over 784.5 thousand residents of neighboring EU countries have visited Belarus. These statistics were cited in State Border Committee. Of these, almost 488 thousand are Lithuanians, about 54.8 thousand are non-citizens and almost 180 thousand are citizens of Latvia, as well as about 61.8 thousand Poles.

Since the beginning of 2023, about 399.5 thousand foreigners have visited Belarus under the visa-free regime. Over the past week – about 5.8 thousand people.

Let us remind you that a visa-free procedure for entry into Belarus for citizens of Lithuania, Latvia, as well as persons with the status of non-citizen of Latvia, was introduced on April 15, 2022, for citizens of Poland – from July 1, 2022. Initially, visa-free travel was introduced until December 31, 2022, but this period was extended by a special decree until December 31, 2023.
