The governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, says that the explosions were heard in the districts of Suja, Koreneva, Lygovsk, Belevsk, Kurchatovsk and Oktyabrsk.

Local authorities have issued two rocket warnings, then a drone warning and an air defense system in the area.

Smirnov said 26 Ukrainian drones were shot down. Ukraine has not commented on this information.
