On the morning of this Saturday, January 8, 2022, a shipment with 2.7 million Modern vaccines against covid-19 for the teachers of Mexico.
The Mexican ambassador to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán welcomed this shipment and shared the message on his Twitter account:
The vaccines have arrived for our teachers!
At the Toluca area terminal, the Secretary of Public Education, Delfina Gómez, was present to receive the shipment; the head of the North America Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Roberto Velasco and the ambassador himself, Esteban Moctezuma.
Last Thursday, January 6, the federal Ministry of Health reported that the covid-19 booster vaccination for educational personnel, scheduled to start on Saturday, January 8, would be postponed.
The agency pointed out that, due to the weather conditions in the United States, the shipment with biologics from the Moderna pharmaceutical company would arrive in our country late and the new start date for immunization would be announced.
