In the Slovak football club ŠKF Sereď, stone after stone did not remain after the seventh place in the previous fortunaliga season.
Almost twenty players left the team that won the promotion to the European Conference League. Sereď is still working on completing the staff, although in three days he will start a new year of FL at MŠK Žilina.
The changes did not only occur in the player’s cabin, but also on the bench. Among the regulars is Captain Ľubomír Michalík, who, with the exception of a short stop in Galanta, has been operating in Sered since 2017. “We don’t have that much quantity at the moment, but I think the quality has come. We haven’t weakened that much and we will definitely be competitive. The remaining ones performed very well in preparation. Of course, the competition itself will show that.” said the 37-year-old tracker.
The ambitions were not specified by the general manager of the club Marián Černý: “We are glad that we managed to hire an experienced expert and a good coach, Mr. Jarábek, and with him the coaching staff. This was the first swallow that we managed before the summer training. Unfortunately, we left many players from last season’s staff. There was a lot of fluctuation, new faces have arrived. Completely changing the implementation team and staff is not easy. “
ŠKF will continue to play its home matches in the transitional stand, Zlaté Moravce will be replaced by Trnava from the new season. “We have to play quality and attractive football to get people in sight. We want to be competitive and score points. We don’t set long-term goals, we go from match to match, we want to entertain people and ourselves with football and be a proud part of the Fortuna League.” added Black.
