The market for private customers is somewhat less balanced, mainly because hybrid or electric cars are often more expensive than petrol or diesel cars. At the beginning of this year, private individuals registered almost 75,000 new cars.
In 18 percent of the cases, that car had an electrified engine (3.3 percent fully electric). That is more than the number of diesel engines (10.8%). Petrol remains the absolute frontrunner with private individuals with a 70.1 percent market share. CNG and LPG together account for 1.6 percent.
