The Almería Federation of Amateur Theater, FEALTA, recently held its annual ordinary Assembly in the capital of Almeria, as well as an extraordinary Assembly for the renewal of its Board of Directors. In said Assembly, the minutes of the previous Assembly and the state of the accounts of the Federation were approved.
Subsequently, the report of the president of the Board of Directors was given on the situation of the Teatro Aficionado in Almería, as well as the actions carried out by the Board of Directors throughout 2023 (PETA, I Galiana Teatro Aficionado awards, meetings, among others).
The topic was also discussed about FEALTA’s relations with the Andalusian Confederation of Amateur Theater and with the Confederation of Amateur Theater. Scenemateurgiving an account of the promotion and training activities.
It was then held the Extraordinary Assembly and the replacement of the Board of Directors took place. The proposal chaired by Germán Fernández Serrano, from the Aedea Teatro company, with Román Puentes Sánchez, from the Friends of the Performing Arts Association as vice president, Flor Herrera, from the Las Maribellas company as secretary, and Francisco Javier was elected by majority in the vote. Tortosa López, from the Almeraya company as treasurer. The Almeria Federation of Amateur Theater brings together around twenty amateur theater companies from across the province, with more than 150 people, establishing itself as a reference for amateur theater in the province.
