Social impact manager Priscilla Crown of Almere City FC was recently at the More than Football Congress on behalf of Almere & the City, where the Impact Report 2023/2024 of the Eredivisie, Keuken Kampioen division and Azerion Eredivisie women was presented. And the club scores well.
Major research between Utrecht University and these three organizations made it clear once again that there is no conflict between the clubs on a social level. The professional football organizations are joining forces and the 34 professional clubs are fighting for a more beautiful, better and healthier living environment.
Almere City FC is specifically mentioned in the report, which zooms in on the Aanvalluh Kids project. This program, which aims to get and keep children active, is an attempt to reduce obesity among children. This is relatively common in Almere.
Last season, more than 160,000 Dutch people took part in the various social programs of the 34 BVOs. More than 5,000 of these came from the various projects of Almere & The City. This gives our platform an enormous reach and not only fulfills a sporting role, but our club also contributes to connection and the well-being of society in Almere.
