Slovak football striker Ladislav Almási scored two goals in the home draw of Baník Ostrava in Sunday’s match of the 19th round of the Czech league with the leader of the table Slavia Prague 3: 3. In the allotted time, he did not convert the penalty that could have decided. Ivan Schranz came in to finish the match.
He took care of the reigning champion’s opening goal in the 24th minute, when he overtook his compatriot Viktor Budinský from the first. Slavia was hit by two disqualifications in the second act, and Baník reversed the course of the match thanks to two precise interventions by the alternating Almási.
However, the Prague team did not lay down their weapons and Tomáš Holeš beat the Slovak goalkeeper with a sharp shot two minutes before the end of regular time. Almási’s second penalty in the match was caught by the goalkeeper Mandous at the set time. Slavia thus leads the table with a one-point lead over Pilsen. Ostrava is fifth.
Mladá Boleslav won on the field of the penultimate Teplice 1: 0. The home team thus hibernates in sixth place in the table.
