The Automated Medical Logistics Assistant (ALMA) website was recently set up, so that the population can consult updated information, in real time, on the vaccination centers in the country.
This project is promoted by the Fundación Desarrolla Guatemala, which seeks to contribute to the development of citizens through scientific research.
Said platform can be consulted at the link www.vacunasgt.com, which collects government data, official pages and is collected with calls to the different vaccination centers.
In addition, it considers the information that citizens publish on social networks related to vaccination centers in Guatemala.

THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE
According to Andrea Asturias, who works on the development and implementation of the strategy, users of the platform can consult the registration process and the vaccines available in each center, as well as the location, hours or the number of people at each immunization post.
Asturias added that “the project seeks to become a virtual assistant with whom any Guatemalan can talk about Covid-19 and resolve doubts related to the subject.”
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Users will be able to consult data related to vaccination in the country, ALMA will receive the request and send a response to the person who sends the query text, then it will follow up through a call center.
In addition, on the website you can select the department and municipality in which you want to be vaccinated, it allows you to locate the pharmacist of your choice between Sputnik V, Moderna, Pfizer or AstraZeneca and depending on the age group or active for vaccination.
At the same time, ALMA seeks to help those who begin to present symptoms of the disease and facilitate coordination with health areas to provide diagnosis and treatment.
