He states that son Apple Watch displayed a first notification very intriguing in October 2022: “I received an alert indicating that my breathing rate was high. I had gone from 14 to 17 or 18 breaths per minute”. An x-ray done in the outpatient department yields no results. The staff simply prescribes bronchitis medication.

After further analysis and scans, staff diagnose blood clots in all lungs, a very serious condition that can be fatal if not detected in time. The patient told a Cleveland newspaper: “The doctor told me that if I hadn’t consulted, I might not have been able to wake up the next morning if I had gone to bed”. His Apple Watch saved his life by allowing the diagnosis of professionals to be refined.
