Palmeiras understands that they will not be able to play the Paulistão quarter-finals at Allianz Parque. The club argues that WTorre delayed the delivery of the renovation of the synthetic pitch and that with the schedule presented to the club today, it will be unfeasible to perform at its home on the weekend of March 17th.
Today (1), the construction company informed the club that it will deliver the stadium with playing conditions on March 12th. Even if this schedule were met, Alviverde states that this makes the first knockout game there unfeasible because of the meeting scheduled for the 11th at the São Paulo Football Federation that will define the teams and dates of the games.
At this meeting, according to the Palmeiras board, it will be necessary to indicate to the FPF where the match will take place. Furthermore, it is worth remembering that Alviverde had already defined that, before approving the return to their stadium, they would like to train to find out if the pitch is in ideal conditions after an inspection by the squad itself. The FPF itself closed the place and would also need a technical visit to release it for games.
