The reason is that the party has deleted the entry in the Party Register, and created a new entry under the name “Alliance – alternative for Norway”, writes the newspaper.
They should have done so because it will make it easier for the party to make lists in this autumn’s parliamentary elections.
– If we were to stand for re-election under the same name, we would have to get 500 signatures in every single county we were to stand for election in, says party leader Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen to VG.
Chief of Mission Cathrin Sætre in the Ministry of Local Government confirms to the newspaper that they have decided to withdraw party support for the terms after the party deleted itself in the Party Register on 16 February this year.
– The new decision means that the Alliance will not receive support for the last three terms of 2021. The party thus loses support totaling 238,365 kroner, Sætre writes in an email to VG.
