An internal control enabled Spar Colruyt Group to realize that portions of private label tarama had been badly labeled: the labels claim to contain tzaziki. The “fish” and “gluten” allergens are therefore not mentioned, which forces the chain to recall the product on Friday.

Spar asks its customers who recently bought tzaziki 200g from the Spar brand to “pay attention to the content”: if the product is pink, it is tarama, a salad of fish eggs and not tzaziki. Therefore, the allergens “fish” and “gluten” are not mentioned.
It is a product distributed by Spar and general food stores, between June 20 and Friday, with a use-by date of August 10, 2020.
Customers allergic or intolerant to fish and / or gluten are requested not to consume the product and to bring it back to the point of sale where they will be reimbursed. Non-allergic people can eat it safely.
