Massimiliano Allegri, coach of Juventus, has clarified his team’s priorities for the end of the 2022/2023 season.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri believes reaching the Europa League final would be a great reward following the difficult campaign he and his men have endured.
Allegri aims for the Europa League
Juve meet Sevilla in the semi-final first leg on Thursday night. This is the last obstacle to overcome before Budapest, the venue for the final of this C3.
Allegri said in a press conference before this duel against the Andalusians: “We all want to reach the final, I think that amidst the difficulties of this year, the team has behaved well, professionally and morally. And it was not easy. There are now 20 days left which are the most important, it will be decided if we will reach the final and if we don’t, the others will have been better”.
As a reminder, Juve are not sure of keeping their 2e place in the Serie A standings. The Italian federation could take 9 points from her, in which case she would drop to 6e place. If this scenario is true, the Old Lady will have no choice but to win the Europa League to play the Champions League next season.
Asked about the domestic situation, Allegri replied: “It’s about the championship, let’s see if we can sort things out in the best possible way.”
