Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has suffered an ACL injury. Chiesa had to undergo surgery to recover her condition.
Chiesa got the injury when Juventus beat AS Roma 4-3 at the Olimpico in the Italian League, Sunday (10/1/2022) early morning WIB. Chiesa was then pulled off in the 32nd minute after groaning in pain clutching his knee.
The injury suffered by Chiesa has the potential to make his journey this season complete. Allegri regrets this very much, but reveals his players are in a good mental condition.
“I spoke to him after the game and yesterday morning,” said Allegri, as quoted by Football Italia.
“I’m sorry for him and for Italian football, but these things happened. He is young and has time to recover. He feels fine, he is fine mentally, now everyone has to do more.” he continued.
Allegri refused to discuss transfers after Chiesa was injured. The 24-year-old is also on loan at Juventus at the end of this season and there is no permanent transfer agreement with Fiorentina yet.
“I’m not going to talk about transfers, this is our team, so we’ll see what happens. We have Dejan Kulusevski, Kaio Jorge, Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado can also play as wingers,” Allegri confirmed.
