‘Alleged owner of robbed Van Gogh sent messages via Sky’ | Inland

K. is suspected of running a criminal organization engaged in cocaine trafficking and of weapons possession. Justice also suspects him of the healing of the stolen painting Spring Garden, the vicarage garden in Nuenen in the spring of Vincent van Gogh. That painting was stolen in March last year from the Singer Museum in Laren, which had the canvas from 1884 on loan from the Groninger Museum.

The Telegraph previously revealed after their own investigation that the police and the judiciary have Peter K. in their sights for the robbery of the work ‘Lentetuin, the vicarage garden in Nuenen in the spring of Van Gogh’, stolen in 2020. K. would not have stolen the work, but bought it through another person. Art detective Arthur Brand confirmed to this newspaper that it was Peter K. with whom he negotiated the restitution of the work through an intermediary. K. hoped for a penalty reduction.
