Alleged Future Flash Cartridge for Nintendo Switch with Multiple Loaded Games

A video of an alleged future flash cartridge for the Nintendo Switch has appeared online, on which several games are loaded at once.

As a user posted on Twitter After Time X, someone is currently testing an upcoming Switch cartridge that packs a lot of titles for the console. The person is said to have provided a video of himself testing the card on Switch, loading and launching games saved on it. Apparently, this flash card will be available soon (the first copies are expected next month), and will support all versions of Switch firmware in any region, as well as all Switch models.

It looks like a “flash cartridge” for #NintendoSwitch that supports all firmwares, all types of consoles, all regions will be released soon. Although the time had already come for such a card, we were skeptical about it, so we asked for some evidence. To our surprise, we soon received a video demonstrating the use of the product. And it looks like everything is absolutely legal.

In the posted video, a user testing the cartridge manually inserts and removes it to switch between games. The launch of these games is also shown.

Some Switch owners will be happy with such a product, although we know for sure that Nintendo does not approve of these types of cards. Judging by the video, this flash cartridge is very similar to the popular R4 cards for the Nintendo 3DS, which were banned in some regions due to copyright claims from Nintendo. Moreover, Nintendo also sued merchants selling such cartridges. This product does not appear to be a kernel exploit (or other typical Switch hacks) that would allow custom firmware to run on the console, as Team Xecuter has previously hinted at.
