On Wednesday (5.1.2021), the Zurich canton police arrested a man in Zurich’s District 1 who was offering counterfeit branded watches for sale.
On the basis of police reports, investigators were able to arrest a 35-year-old Italian during a control in urban district 1, who had a high-quality counterfeit wristwatch from the luxury segment with him for sale. The man offered the counterfeit, the original clock costing over ten thousand francs, for several hundred francs.
During the subsequent house searches, the police discovered further indications that the man is allegedly trading in counterfeit luxury watches.
At the police questioning, the man confessed. He will have to answer to the Zurich-Limmat public prosecutor’s office for violating the trademark protection law.
