SECOND DAY OF HEARINGS

For the second consecutive day in the mega-hearing room of the Judicial Branch, the opening hearing for the trial of 58 people was resumed, including former deputies and former employees of the Legislative Branch, implicated in the case “Ghost Squares in the Congress of the Republic”, this day the FECI read the indictments against people linked to former deputy Christian Boussinot. CC CONFIRMS SENTENCE AGAINST LAWYER

The Constitutional Court rejected an injunction requested by the lawyer Vernon Eduardo González Portillo, linked to the Patriot Party against the Supreme Court of Justice, which confirmed the sentence of 5 years in incommutable prison issued by the Fifth Criminal Court in 2016. With this ruling, the conviction dictated was confirmed.

ALLEGED VIOLATOR ON TRIAL

The Court of First Instance for Crimes of Femicide ruled that Pedro González Valenzuela must face oral and public debate for the crime of rape with special circumstances of aggravation in real competition. González is accused by the Public Ministry of sexual assault against an 8-year-old girl on three occasions in March 2021, in a building in zone 18 of the capital.

PRESENT ASSAULT RIFLE AS EVIDENCE

This Friday, July 15, the trial continued against several gang members allegedly responsible for the armed attack near Unaerc in which the member of a rival gang alias “Fat” died in August 2016. In the High Risk Court “A” , the Prosecutor’s Office presented several elements of evidence that support the case, among them an AR-15 type rifle that was located at the scene of the attack.
