Denpom IV/4 Surakarta is still handling cases of alleged abuse of volunteer Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md by members of TNI Battalion 408/Suhbrasta in Boyolali. Denpom has questioned 15 members of Battalion 408/Suhbrasta.
“Currently those who have been examined at Denpom IV/4 Surakarta, 15 people from Infantry Battalion 408 Suhbrasta have been confirmed,” explained Dandim 0724/Boyolali, Lieutenant Colonel (Inf) Wiweko Wulang Widodo, in a press conference at Makodim Boyolali as quoted from detikJatengSunday (31/12/2023).
Wiweko said that currently investigations were still being carried out by Denpom Surakarta. He could not yet convey the name of the suspect in this case.
“Until now, an investigation was carried out at night and it has been ongoing until now. Perhaps confirmation of the number of people named as suspects will be confirmed directly by Dandenpom,” said Wiweko.
He explained that currently the process is continuing so that the incident that is taking place can be calmed down. TNI leadership’s commitment to upholding applicable legal regulations.
“Any member who is proven guilty in the abuse case will take action professionally and proportionally in accordance with applicable legal procedures,” he said.
