Menkumham Yasonna Laoly some time ago again brought up Twitter uploads Rocky Gerung in 2020 regarding allegations of insulting the Laoly clan. Rocky Gerung’s statement was also reported to the police.
In response to this, Rocky Gerung assessed that Yasonna was spreading hoaxes. Because Rocky admits he does not have a Twitter account.
“Yasonna spread hoaxes. I don’t have a Twitter account,” said Rocky Gerung when contacted, Monday (14/8/2023).
Rocky regretted Yasonna’s attitude in not verifying the account first. Rocky Gerung also believes that Yasonna is currently being carried away by the persecution.
“The minister, who has many officials, didn’t try to verify that it was a fake account. He had to apologize to me for slandering me. But never mind, he was carried away by the persecution. Be careful next time, sir. Greetings to the family,” he said.

Previously reported, Rocky Gerung apparently had been reported regarding his statement that offended the Laoly clan. Rocky Gerung was arrested for allegedly insulting the Laoly clan.
Polda Metro Jaya has confirmed the report against Rocky Gerung. The report apparently was filed in the same year, namely 2020, by the Laoly community.
Director of the Criminal Investigation Unit for Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said that currently the police were still conducting an investigation regarding the report.
“So it is true that in 2020 the community of Laoly residents had reported it to SPKT Polda Metro Jaya and we are currently carrying out investigations to follow up on reports of alleged criminal acts that occurred,” Ade Safri told reporters, Monday (14/7) /2023).
He said the police asked for the opinion of ITE experts, linguists, and criminal experts to investigate the case.
