Review of “Alldocube iPlay 40”, the best cheap tablet at the moment![20,000 yen amazing girl]

This time, we will be reviewing Alldocube’s “iPlay 40”, the latest cheap tablet. These days, the performance of cheap tablets…

Equipped with the UNISOC T600 series, it had practical performance, a high-resolution display higher than Full HD, and a high-quality metal exterior, making it a model that symbolized a new era of low-cost tablets.

Then came iPlay 50.

The champion of 10,000 yen tablets again? Alldocube iPlay 50 review!

This time, I purchased the new model “Alldocube iPlay 50” from Alldocube, which releases many cheap tablets, so I would like to review it…

The iPlay 50 itself was a bit disappointing, but the 8-inch class iPlay 50 mini series, which appeared as a small model in the same series, is an iPad mini-sized product, which is rare among Android tablets. This is equipped with Helio G99, has high performance for a low-priced machine, and has been a hit product from 2023 to the present.

This time, we will be reviewing the newly released 8-inch small Android tablet “Alldocube iPlay 50 mini Pro NFE”…

And, this time I will review the latest “Alldocube iPlay 60”. It was previously sold on AliExpress, but now it is also available on Amazon.

A new model that enhances the use of peripheral devices, such as a 4,096-level pen pressure sensing pen and a Hall sensor.

Additionally, this device comes with a pressure-sensitive pen.

Currently Amazon’sThis pageYou can get a 4,000 yen OFF coupon from 24,900 yen, and if you apply the coupon code CUBEiPlay60, you can purchase it for a discount of 16,916 yen. (until tomorrow 2/25)

Even though it was released at a sale price, it comes with a pressure-sensitive pen, making it a pretty high cost performance at under 20,000 yen.

Let’s take a look!

Appearance and specs

Let’s start with what’s included in the package. As shown below, in addition to the main body, it comes with a pressure-sensitive pen, a magnetic sticker for the pen, a manual, a USB-A adapter, a USB Type-C to A cable, and a SIM pin.

The manual is also available in Japanese.

The USB Type-A charging adapter is 10W and has the PSE mark.

Next, we’ll take a look at the main unit, but before that, let’s take a look at the specs.

The specs are as follows.

  • SoC:UNISOC T606
  • GPU:Mali-G57
  • Display: 10.95 inch (2000 x 1200) IPS
  • Memory: 4GB LPDDR4x RAM
  • Storage: 128GB UFS
  • Expanded storage: microSD (up to 512GB)
  • Battery capacity: 7,000mAh
  • OS:Android 13
  • Camera: Rear 16MP+2MP+2MP, Front 5MP
  • SIM:nano SIM x2
  • Compatible bands: GSM: b2/3/5/8, WCDMA: v1/2/4/5/8, FDD: b1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28a/b, TDD: b38/40/41
  • widevine: L1 (Supports Netflix high-quality playback)
  • GPS: Supported
  • Sensor: gravity, light
  • Others: Compatible with 4,096 levels of pressure sensing pen, equipped with quad speakers

The SoC UNISOC T606 is 7nm and has an octa-core of Cortex-A75 x2 and Cortex-A55 x6. Does not support biometric authentication. widevine was L1, and I was able to play Netflix in high quality.

The camera is a rear 3-lens + LED light.

The back has a metal exterior and has a flat and luxurious design.

On the top are the power/volume button and 2 speakers.

On the bottom is a microphone, USB 2.0 Type-C, and 2 speakers.

There is nothing on the left side.

On the right side is a SIM/microSD card slot.

When you open it with the included SIM pin, you will find a slot with an exclusive configuration of microSD + nanoSIM or nanoSIM x2 as shown below.

The actual weight is 527g.

Pretty luxurious accessories

The accessories of this machine are quite luxurious.

First of all, it comes with the pressure sensitive pen shown below.

Open the top cap like the one below to find the USB Type-C port for charging.

The pen tip has 1 button.

Since it detects pen pressure, you can write notes where the thickness of the line changes depending on how hard you draw, as shown below.

The function of the pen is simple. First of all, there is no need for pairing, and you basically use it in place of your fingers. You can launch Google Assistant by holding down the button and tapping the screen.

Regarding the behavior around the pen, I would like to expect further evolution.

You cannot attach the magnet to the main body as is, but you can attach it by pasting the included magnetic sticker.

In addition, I don’t know if this comes with everyone, but it came with a genuine case.

A unique type that combines the back case and the flip case of the stand.

This is a well-made case that allows you to use only the back case when holding it in your hand, use the flip as shown below when using it upright, and use the flip to protect the screen when carrying it around.

actual usability

The first home screen after completing the initial settings is shown below. Is the wallpaper the familiar goldfish from iPlay 50 mini? is.

Most of the apps that are included from the beginning are the minimum necessary Google-manufactured apps. The good thing is that there are no unnecessary pre-ins.

The settings screen is not split into two panes.

As you can see from the settings screen above, like the iPlay 50 mini, the default setting is quite large for an 11-inch display.

Even if you display the daily gadget in a browser, it is as shown below.

Listability is not very high.

You can play around with it in developer mode, but let’s play around with the font size and display size in “Display size and text” in the Settings app.

As shown below, it is best to minimize both.

This will make the settings screen easier to see as shown below.

Even if you display the daily gadget, you can display more information as shown below.

When you play YouTube, 16:9 videos are horizontal and there are black bars at the top and bottom as shown below.

There are models of widevine L1 that cannot play Netflix in high quality, but this unit can play in FullHD as shown below.

benchmark score

Let’s take a look at the benchmark scores.

The Geekbench 6 score is 382 for single core and 1353 for multi-core, as shown below.

The GPU score is 447 as shown below.

It’s not a high-performance SoC, so I don’t recommend buying it for gaming, but if you play Genshin, you can play Genshin with smooth device load as long as the image quality is “lowest”.

The storage read/write speed is as below.

A machine that lets you feel the new challenge of the iPlay series.

Above are the newly released “Alldocube iPlay 60” I have seen it.

It’s a UNISOC T606, so it’s not a high-performance model.

There has been no evolution in performance since the iPlay 40, so I’d like to get a model equipped with an SoC with Helio G99 or better performance. I also wish it had biometric authentication.

On the other hand, the price of under 20,000 yen during the release sale is quite high, and it also comes with a pressure-sensitive pen and a well-designed case, so you can feel Alldocube’s challenge to add value that has never been seen before.

I think it’s one of the good options for an inexpensive Android tablet, so if you’re interested, please check it out!
