Allan Saint-Maximin is like Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo and would be a perfect replacement for Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, says a Newcastle fan.

Newcastle United fans don’t have much to be happy about right now, but a man is definitely pushing them out of their seats.

Allan Saint-Maximin is a unique man and his personality allows him to flourish in Tyneside.

Saint-Maximin could be an ideal replacement for Mane

Newcastle United haven’t won a Premier League game since their debut against West Ham and added just two more points to their total.

But Saint-Maximin still dazzles and he scored in the club’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United and started the campaign with two assists and one more goal.

And although they won’t want to see him leave anytime soon, he has been praised for his “attacking intent” and compared to Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

A Toon supporter even phoned talkSPORT and offered him as a potential Liverpool replacement for Sadio Mane, insisting the delicate winger could suit his style of play.

Saint-Maximin has a lot of flair and always looks like he can beat a man

They said, “Basically, can you name me five better players than those who give that offensive, straightforward, scary intention when they come forward?

“He reminds me of Ronaldo when he first entered the scene with that attacking flair that terrified defenders.

“You are looking at Liverpool’s offensive threat right now. [Sadio] Mane doesn’t really do it, if you imagine Saint-Maximin and [Mohamed] Salah on the wings, that’s exactly what they need.

Senegalese star Mane has managed three goals this season, but his production other than sticking the ball into the net appears to have fallen from his best brilliant.

He has two years left on his current contract and if he and the club don’t agree on a new deal, it might be time to go their separate ways.

It could open the door for Saint-Maximin to arrive and show off his talents at Anfield – and in the Champions League.

Until a transfer occurs, Newcastle fans will just want to take advantage of the Frenchman’s skills at St James’ Park.
