The claim that the singer reacted in this way appeared on the Russian Telegram channel “Kremlevskaya Tabakerka”, which has a reputation for being close to the Kremlin kitchen. The channel cited two of its sources as saying that Kiriyenko tried again to attract Pugacheva as the face of Putin’s campaign, promising her money and benefits. He has also asked the singer, who was last known to be living in Israel, to send a greeting on the Russian dictator’s 71st birthday, which is today (October 7).
