The long-running TV hit “Wilsberg” flickers across the screens on October 5th with another feature-length case. This time Thomas Arnold takes on a guest role.
Saturday evening on ZDF once again belongs to private detective Georg Wilsberg, played by Leonard Lansink. At 8:15 p.m. the protagonist investigates his 83rd crime novel. In the 90-minute “Blood Licked,” Inspector Anna Springer (Rita Russek) finds herself in mortal danger – just during her time out.
A commissioner on the wrong track
The civil servant is still on her sabbatical, which she used to write a book. In her work entitled “The Cruelty of the Idyll” she reports on her professional experiences and the most exciting cases of her career. Not least thanks to her overzealous editor Lucia Hillbeck (Liza Tzschirner), she has managed to create a real true crime bestseller.
This is also about the murder of a fashion house owner, which is suddenly becoming more important again: A saleswoman at the weekly market in Münster was recently killed in a very similar way. Is there a connection between the crimes? Inspectors Overbeck (Roland Jankowsky) and Drechshage (Stefan Haschke) set out to find the perpetrator.
True-Crime-Star will helfen
The self-proclaimed serial murder expert Dr. Elmar Lenz (Thomas Arnold), who became known through a podcast, unexpectedly offers to help. His commitment doesn’t go down well with everyone at the station. René Rösch (Jörn Hentschel), who was recently released from prison, is soon seen as the main suspect. Springer had once arranged for his arrest. Is he now seeking her life?
In such a complicated case, a man with a very special combination of skills is required: Wilsberg has to sort it out once again. As always, he receives active support in the investigation from his friend Ekki Talkötter (Oliver Korittke).
Crime fans will find out in advance who will be convicted as the perpetrator in the ZDFmeditahek. “Blood Licked” is already available there. The episode was directed by Philipp Osthus based on a joint script by Sandra Lüpkes and Jürgen Kehrer.
