How to access the cooperative community of Cayo Fauno?
The Cayo Fauno Cooperative Community is a feature in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that is only available if you we meet these two prerequisites:
- You must have updated the game to the give it 2.0.
- You have to having unlocked the Cayo Fauno island in your game.
The first step is very simple; update the game to its latest version (at least version 2.0) is completely free and you only have to connect your console to the internet in order to download it. Keep in mind that it occupies about 7 GB, so make sure you have enough space to install it.
On the other hand, to unlock Cayo Fauno you will first have to have at least three neighbors installed on your island. Upon achieving this, Faun’s character will appear some random day on your island and if you talk to him invite you to go to his private island, from then on you can travel to it for free from the aerodrome.
What is the Faun community and what is it for?

If you have already fulfilled the requirements mentioned above, you will receive a letter in your mailbox from Fauno, who tells you that he has something new to tell you and that he is waiting for you on his island. If you talk to them, Fauno will tell you that wants to create a cooperative community. The following will be available in this community:
- Until 7 different gyroids to donate berries and establish businesses permanently.
- At each gyroid you must donate a total of 100,000 berries to open your business.
- When you reach the estimated number of berries, you will have to wait a day to unlock the respective store.
- You can only unlock one store per day at most.

Carpet is the carpet and wallpaper saleswoman. In its cooperative community store you will have access to the same products that it sells when it appears on your island.
Al and Paca

- Gyroid phrase: two prodigious restaurateurs who are a professional and personal couple.
Al and Paca also appear in the Fauno community (some characters that we had already seen previously in the Wedding Season event). These two characters settle in the community with their motorhome and if you talk to them you can customize different furniture with a unique style.
Bitumen

- Gyroid phrase: a dashing dealer in high-quality footwear and bags.
Bitumen is the skunk that runs a shoe, sock and bag business. As happens when visiting your island, this character can sell these products to you in the Fauno community.
Gandulio
–
- Gyroid phrase: a botanical expert with the best hands for the gardener.
Gandulio, the botanical expert, is the seller of shrubs, nursery seeds and flowers. Your products for sale go changing randomly every week.
Katrina
–
- Gyroid phrase: a fortune teller suspiciously accurate in her predictions.
Katrina is a fortune teller who appears exclusively in the Fauno community. This character can know your future in exchange for 1,000 berries, only once a day; It serves to know how your friendship with another character is or to know your fortune.
Ladino

- Gyroid phrase: a very legal art dealer.
Ladino is the merchant of artworks which can also appear in the community of Fauno with his drum. This character I will sell you a different work every day, so you can take every opportunity to get the complete collection if you do not have it yet (unlocking it in the community is very useful, since its appearances on our island are quite rare).
Mariln

Mariln is a character exclusive from the Fauno community and it is not necessary to unlock it through donations. She is in charge of giving a hairdresser service, so you can change your style, hairstyle or cut every time you talk to Mariln (her store is available the day after your first visit to the community).
It is worth mentioning that Mariln’s hairstyles are random each. Can you teach one by one, and once taught, you can select it whenever you want from a mirror.
Trtimer

- Gyroid phrase: an old friend who will give you access to the storage room of your house.
Trtimer is an old turtle that only appears in exclusive in the Fauno community. Some will remember him for being the mayor in previous games in the series, as in AC: Wild World. On this occasion he appears in the Fauno community to offer you a parcel service. Its function is to send or remove objects from the storage room of your house without any cost. In other words, you can talk to him to immediately move something you don’t have and need into your inventory.
