Despite the pandemic, we still have more than a dozen products for all tastes and this week of June it was not going to be for less. In addition, a documentary stands out.
On Netflix, they know that documentaries on the events that marked the country they are a hit with the public. They have already been able to verify it with the Alcàsser case and now they are trying again with another de of great importance in Spain decades ago: the Wanninkhof-Carabantes affair.
The murder of the young Rocío Wanninkhof had a big impact and was widely followed by all the media, especially when investigators targeted a friend of the mother, Dolores Vázquez. Police, media and public opinion condemned this woman, and soon after the judge did the same.
Disney + continues to broadcast news, such as its STAR channel. If you subscribe to the annual subscription, you will save the equivalent of two months compared to the monthly subscription.
A few years later, when he had already been in prison for four years, in the murder of another young woman, Sonia Carabantes, evidence was found which revealed that he had been the victim of the same person. From then on, the investigation was reopened, which changed everything that had been observed before.
The Wanninkhof-Carabantes case relates these events and puts society in front of a mirror to talk about the power of media, prejudice and age. The documentary opens on June 23 and will surely be used to talk about what still happened for a few weeks. But that’s not the only Netflix premiere.
