The best: in Hyères-Carqueiranne, Beaumont, Nouhaillaguet, Leveque, Melinte, Tuineau; in Vienne, Solnon, Peyrat, Bazin, Melenat, Vaudaine.
During the first half, the challenge was taken up by Vienna, the only team to have beaten the Var this season. A good scrum but many penalties wore the realism countered by a solid local defense. If at half-time, everything remained to be done, the players of Le Corvec and Pezery were quick to set the record straight. Offshore attacks, decisive breakthroughs illustrated by Melinte and Leveque, a winning touch will demonstrate the superiority of a well-established team. Despite a few “chocolates” generously distributed, the deal was concluded from the 60th minute. René GHIGLIONE.

The Luziens start with a bang. Even if they receive a yellow card, they master the game until the first incursion of Rennes. Not enough for the Bretons who are led at half-time following a second try from 80 meters and a third on a penetrating group. The pace drops in the second half but the contacts are still as tough. A second Breton try at the start of the second half weighed down the atmosphere somewhat. The nervous final of the Luziens is sanctioned and their last try comes too late. Jean-Pierre IRAOLA.

The best: in Nîmes, Roche, Sparano, Gonzalez, Oliver, A. Nierat, Duprat. ; in Rumilly, Masima, Larue, Bournonville, Marcotte.
There was not the slightest suspense and Nîmes, still in the lead in this match and author of a clear foot, quickly erased their delay in the first leg before logically composting their access ticket to a half -final. To do this, author of a solid start, conqueror in the alignment, solid in melee and finally author of four tries, he above all never allowed Hauts-Savoyards quickly put under pressure, long deprived of ammunition, authors too many handling errors and required to evolve, twice in numerical inferiority, to find solutions likely to seize up the mechanics of Nîmois cooler physically.
